MAFIN, the contemporary art festival from April 26

Written by ART Driven Tokyo

Art comes to life on the island of prayer.
Mixed with the scent of the sea,
the voice of creation, connecting the past with the future.

MAFIN (MIYAJIMA ART FESTIVAL IN THE NARRATIVE), a contemporary art festival, will be held in Miyajima, Hiroshima, with the keywords “prayer, peace, and time”. The exhibition will present works that resonate in the unique space of Miyajima. The main venue is the Daisho-in Temple, which has a 1200-year history.

Highlights

Hiroko Kubo‘s sculptures reconstruct mythical images.

Chim↑Pom from Smappa!Group, whose projects intervene in contemporary society and continue to raise questions.

An exhibition by Kana Kou(1975-2020), who loved Shodoshima.
